The national and international legal requirements with reference to food security are subject to a 
constant change. The autonomous acting of enterprises, the qualification of the employees as well 
as their continuous training and  further education have come to the fore.  It is also these requirements 
that lead the food-processing industry to a reorientation. Terms like hygiene-/ HACCP-management 
(Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point), HACCP risk analysis based on risk evaluation, on risk 
management do experience a new weighting. The conversion from end control to preventive measures 
turns out to be a completely new challenge to caterers. The carrying out of the general claim of food 
hygiene (protection of food from a disadvantageous influence) guarantee their obedience and the actual

and food quality systems  

Supporting government and industry practices which reduce pathogenic contamination of food 
before it arrives kitchens or restaurants.

A Food Safety Network increases consumer confidence in the safety and quality of food 
produced in Jamaica. 

C@ribHACCP is developing communication transfer, between industry and consumer. 

Alliance members participating from round tables, innovative tools and technologies, to 
enhance the safety and quality of their produced food.

Donations and the yearly profit from the Alliance support efforts in Food Safety Projects 
in Jamaica. e.g. a Food Safety - Mobil, computer, publications, and a quarterly print newsletter
